The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are nearing.
Over
the last two years I have made works to remain as a legacy to the
Equestrian Games by creating sculptures to represent show jumping,
evening and dressage. I have also made sculptures of two British
Paralympic equestrian riders and their horses, Sophie Christiansen and
Lee Pearson, as well as sculptures to represent the Olympic and
Paralympic equestrian games. Some of these pieces are exhibited
at the High Performance Art Gallery, Heathrow Terminal 5.
A vernissage was held on 27th
July to celebrate a year to the London Olympic Games. Artist
Lesley presented a portrait painting of Paralympic Sophie Christiansen
who was present for the occasion.
My sculpture Sophie’s Spirit of Sport was made for the occasion.
